Founded in 1988, Lift For Life Gym builds brighter futures for St. Louis inner city children by offering positive alternatives to drugs and gangs through athletic, educational and recreational programs. Each year, hundreds of city children find a safe haven at Lift For Life Gym. The Gym's enriching after school programs include: competition weight lifting, basketball, fitness training, gardening, computer lab, field trips and more. Gym members compete in local, regional and national weight lifting competitions. All Gym programs are offered free of charge. Lift For Life Gym is located just north of downtown St. Louis.
